15620. Rev. John Mayo was born in England and died in May 1676 in Yarmouth (Barnstable) Massachusetts. He married,
15621. Thomasine (—), who died in 1682 in Yarmouth.
John arrived in America about 1638.
John & Tamosin were the parents of five children:
i. CAPT. SAMUEL MAYO (7810)
ii. ELIZABETH MAYO, born in England, and died 16 March 1699/00. She married Joseph Howes, who was born in England and died 19 January 1694/95, son of Thomas and Mary (—) Howes. Elizabeth & Thomas were the parents of nine children: (a) Amos Howes, married Susanna Hedge, five children, Stephen, Mercy, Elisha, Amos and Lemuel; (b) Elizabeth Howes; (c) Hannah Howes, married William Matthews; (d) John Howes, married first, Elizabeth Paddock; John married second, Mary Matthews, four children, Elizabeth, John, Sarah and James; (e) Joseph Howes, married Mary Vincent, seven children, Mary, Thankful, Elizabeth, Joseph, Isaac, Judah and Philip; (f) Mary Howes, married John Hallett; (g) Nathaniel Howes, married Esther Ryder, three children, Nathaniel, Esther and Zachariah/Zacheus; (h) Samuel Howes, two sons, Joseph and Samuel; and (i) Thomas Howes, married Rebecca Howes, three sons, Daniel, Joseph and Thomas.
iii. HANNAH MAYO, born in England. She married 4 December 1642, Nathaniel Bacon. Hannah & Nathaniel were the parents of eight children: (a) Hannah Bacon; (b) Nathaniel Bacon; (c) Mary Bacon; (d) Samuel Bacon; (e) Elizabeth Bacon; (f) Jeremiah Bacon; (g) Mercy Bacon; and (h) John Bacon.
iv. JOHN MAYO, born in England. He married Hannah Roycroft.
v. NATHANIEL MAYO, born about 1627 in England, died in 1662 in Eastham (Barnstable) Massachusetts. He married (as her first husband) 13 February 1649/50 in Eastham, Hannah Prence, who was born about 1629 and died before 23 November 1698, daughter of  Thomas and Patience (Brewster) Prence. Nathaniel & Hannah were the parents of six children: (a) Thomas Mayo, married Barbara Knowles, ten children, Thomas, Theophilus, Mary, Mercy, Ruth, Judah, Lydia, Richard, an unnamed son and Israel; (b) Nathaniel Mayo, married first, Elizabeth Wixam, seven children, Nathaniel, Bathsheba, Alice, Ebenezer, Hannah, Elisha and Robert; Nathaniel married second, Mercy Young; (c) Samuel Mayo, married Ruth (—), seven children, Hannah, Mercy, Samuel, Jonathan, Rebecca, Mary/Mercy and Anne; (d) Hannah Mayo; (e) Theophilus Mayo, married Bathsheba Mayo; and (f) Bathsheba Mayo, married Thomas Freeman.
