2432. Joseph Hubbard, son of  George and Elizabeth (Watts) Hubbard, was born in 1643 in Hartford (Hartford) Connecticut, and died 26 December 1686 in Middletown (Middlesex) Connecticut. He married in 1670,
2433. Mary Porter, who died 10 June 1707 in Middletown.
The following is from The Hamlin Family:
At a town meeting on 17 December 1666, the town voted to allow 40 shillings to Joseph for beating the drum for all common meetings, both on Sabbath days and all other meetings and to beat twice on forenoons and twice in afternoons Sabbath days and thanks giving days and fast days to be beaten from the meeting house to against Mr. Stows to be given first with a preparative and after a call this for the year ensuing, but the drum for future to be beaten after the same manner.
Joseph & Mary were the parents of six children:
i. JOSEPH HUBBARD
ii. ROBERT HUBBARD. He married Abigail Adkins, who was born about 1676, and died 23 April 1735 in Middletown, daughter of Josiah Ward and Elizabeth Adkins. Robert & Abigail were the parents of four children: (a) Robert Hubbard; (b) Hepzibah Hubbard; (c) Phebe Hubbard, married Richard Ely; and (d) Mary Hubbard, married Thomas Bevans.
iii. GEORGE HUBBARD. He married Mehitable Miller, daughter of Thomas and Sarah (Nettleton) Miller. George & Mehitable were the parents of eight children: (a) Hezekiah Hubbard; (b) George Hubbard, married Mary Roberts, one daughter, Mary; (c) Thomas Hubbard, married Thankful Johnson, five children, Thomas, Elizabeth, Jedediah, Seth and Caleb; (d) Mehitable Hubbard; (e) Richard Hubbard, married Susannah Roberts; (f) Abner Hubbard; (g) Caleb Hubbard, married first, Elizabeth Miller, two daughters, Lucretia and Jemima, Caleb married second, Mary (—), five children, Mary, Caleb, Caleb, Hezekiah and Abijah; and (h) Abner Hubbard, married Mary Roberts, one son, Abner.
iv. JOHN HUBBARD (1216)
v. MARY HUBBARD, born 23 January 1680/81 in Middletown, died there 19 April 1682.
