1874. John Murdock, son of  John and Lydia (Young) Murdock, was born 8 June 1691 in Plymouth (Plymouth) Massachusetts, and died there 17 September 1756. He married in 1725,
1875. Ruth Bartlett, who was born in Duxbury (Plymouth) Massachusetts, daughter of  Benjamin and Ruth (Pabodie) Bartlett.
The will of John Murdock of Plymouth, yeoman, was written 16 September 1756 and proved 5 October 1756.
John & Ruth were the parents of five children:
i. BARTLETT MURDOCK, born 1729, died 6 March 1795 in Carver (Plymouth) Massachusetts. He married 9 March 1748/49 in Plympton (Plymouth) Massachusetts, Sarah Lucas. Bartlett & Sarah were the parents of two sons: (a) Bartlett Murdock, married Deborah Perkins, two children, Jesse and Deborah; and (b) Capt. Elisha Murdock, married Martha Perkins.
